What is Silver Acorn?

Silver Acorn serves two purposes for the Akron Council of PTA's. 

The first purpose is to show thanks to all those very special persons who help your unit all year long.  The person your unit could count on. 

The second purpose is to give back to the students in scholarship money.  The money earned by Silver Acorn bought is put back into the scholarship program for Akron Public School Seniors from all High Schools.

Each Unit can do a great service to those that helped all year and also to give students a higher education.

Akron Council of PTA's encourages all units to place a line item in your budget for Silver Acorn(s).  It is money well spent.

 

When you find that person who a PTA unit can always depend on, show them thanks by honoring them with a Silver Acorn pin and certificate.
